~ Just enough .....

..... Kim Klassen's "Beyond Layers" first lesson is "just enough".  Just enough texture, processing, lighting and so on and so on.   This was a challenge for me as I tend to lean towards darker processed images......but it was fun!  And I even shot it with my nifty-fifty!!!!!  Holy Moly!!!!!  Someone out there knows what a battle I've been having with that lens.   Anyway, here's my shot .......

About the shot:    Canon 60D, Manual, 1/640 shutter speed, f/6.3, ISO 200, EF 50mm/1.8

Consider joining "Beyond Layers" ...... it will be fun!

Well missy....when I got this prompt the first thing I said to myself was I can't WAIT to see what you post cause I know you lean towards to darker side of processing. I have to tell ya.....you pulled it off brilliantly and I LOVE the reflection and you have some great textures going on. great comp too. Good for you stretching by using your "favorite" lens!!! lol

  6. If you saw some of my earliest textured photos, you would cringe! It's definitely a learning process. Love this -- very calming and pretty. :)

  7. I also tend to be heavy-handed in post processing. Your image here is clean and fresh, and the streaks of light and shadow on the table top give a richness, too. Way to go!

  9. What a lovely photo.. I took this class also and am finding it hard to take just a simple shot with simple texture.. But I am going to keep on trying.
